The Las Eretas Museum and Archaeological Site is a museum run by Berbinzana Local Council which opened in 2011. Its main objective is to disseminate the Iron Age in Navarre during the Urnfield culture by visiting the Las Eretas archaeological site in Berbinzana, which also has a replica dwelling and an accessible, highly educational museum for everyone to enjoy.
This specialised museum is financially supported by Berbinzana Local Council and public grants from the different Navarrese government departments, without forgetting our invaluable visitors and, from now on, we hope, from the selfless contributions of our friends.
By collaborating with our project, you become a new friend of the Las Eretas Museum and Archaeological Site. The support we receive from you will be very important to consolidate this museum space and the investment and dissemination projects it presents each year, and, of course, to let everyone find out about the little known Iron Age in Navarre.
We are a MECNA project
The Navarrese Act of Cultural Patronage establishes a new model of public-private partnership for the implementation of cultural projects and activities: entities and artists can apply for the MECNA distinction, which is awarded by the Government of Navarre to cultural and artistic initiatives of social interest. The Las Eretas Museum and Archaeological Site has had this distinction since 2020.
MECNA recognises the commitment of citizens, the business world and society to the promotion and financing of culture. And the companies and private individuals that support these initiatives enjoy significant tax incentives.
